BANQUET FACILITY POLICIES
Thank you for considering our banquet facility for your upcoming event.
Our banquet room can accommodate up to 125 guests. Seating is designed according to your particular needs.
Our banquet room is a non-smoking facility. All smokers must smoke outside.
Security Deposit & Cancellation
A security deposit is required at contract signing to insure against damage during the banquet and to reserve the facilities for the date selected. Should a cancellation occur, security deposit monies are forfeited.
The security deposit shall be returned upon full payment of banquet charges and after inspection of facilities have determined no damages to facilities have occurred. Unless you are notified within 7 days that damages have occurred, your deposit will be returned.
Deposits held beyond seven days for damages will be returned after repairs can be contracted for and an amount for the repairs has been deducted.
A minimum of 50 people is required for a banquet booking. Should your party be less you will be charged a $100.00 room rental fee. A final guest count must be submitted two (2) weeks prior to your event. If your number of guests increases, we will try to accommodate the additions and charges will be assessed for additional guests.
All functions require a minimum food order. At no time is our banquet facility available for a reunion get-together, mixers, etc., without minimum food service.
We offer a wide menu selection; however, we will prepare other dishes and price accordingly.
The Viking Athletic Association operates within the confines of Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board; as such, no alcoholic beverages may be brought onto or taken from the premises. All alcoholic beverages consumed at the Viking Athletic Association must be purchased from our facility. Additionally, no food may be brought onto or taken from the club premises. (Exception: You may bring in cake for special events, e.g., birthdays, wedding, etc. You can take cake from these events with you.)
FOOD/DRINK DEPOSITS & CHARGES
A non-refundable deposit will be required for all banquets equivalent to 1/3 (one-third) of the expected total price of the banquet food/drink charges at the time a banquet agreement is executed. The remaining 2/3 (two-thirds) of the expected total price of the banquet food/drink charges is due 2 WEEKS PRIOR to the scheduled event. Any remaining balances for additional food/drinks or increases to head-count MUST be paid the DAYOF THE BANQUET. Payment may be either cash or check ($25 fee for returned checks). The Viking Athletic Association does accept credit cards (Visa, Master Card) with an additional 3% fee.
PRICES & CHARGES
All prices are subject to change.
A service charge of 18% of entire banquet food/drink cost will be added. In addition 6% sales tax will be added to any food/non-alcoholic beverage. Sales tax does not apply to alcohol.
LOST & FOUND
The Viking Athletic Association is not responsible for any items damaged, lost or stolen during an event.
Table decorations are permitted. No other decorations are permitted without the express consent of Management.
The Viking Athletic Association reserves the right to control all private functions; e.g. refusing to serve alcohol to a guest.
Requirements/needs must be communicated to the Viking Athletic Association 2 weeks prior to an event.
When making arrangements, the length of the banquet will be determined (5 hours maximum). Unless otherwise negotiated, Monday through Thursday banquets will conclude by 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday by 12:00 a.m., and Sunday by 7:30 p.m.
We appreciate your cooperation in vacating the premises at the contracted time so that we can begin to clean up and set up for the following day.
The banquet room is available for business meeting during the day.
ONLY MEMBERS AND SIGNED IN GUESTS MAY USE THE LOUNGE AND STAG BAR FACILITY
